Téma 1: Drobné městské zásahy

Mr. Huang, SHENG-YUAN Architect

Na Tchaj-wanu uděluje ceny National Outstanding Architect a National Awards of Arts. Působil také jako kurátor benátského bienále Taiwanského pavilonu.

Prezentace bude o jeho praxi ve městě Yilan, což je příměstská čtvrť se zemědělstvím a turistickým průmyslem. Praxe architekta Huanga je zaměřena na malé veřejné architektonické práce. Podělí se o své zkušenosti s výzvou veřejné architektury.

Marek Sivák, MArch

je architekt a facilitátor, specialista na veřejný prostor, urbanismus, participaci, zadání a koncepce, zakladatel spolku Pěstuj prostor a Platformy pro veřejný prostor s mnohaletou zkušeností i z běžné architektonické praxe.

Hledání cesty, jak měnit Plzeň i další obce a města k lepšímu. Aktivismus? Granty? Zakázky? Dlouhodobé partnerství? Obecní architekt? V roce 2012 jsme v rámci Plzně – Evropského hlavního města kultury 2015 spustili první ročník Otevřené výzvy Pěstuj prostor, do které nám lidé po řadu let dávali podněty na drobné změny ve veřejném prostoru. Ty jsme spolu se zástupci města i nezávislými odborníky vyhodnocovali a snažili se je společně s občany realizovat. Nyní, deset let poté, volíme odlišnou cestu, která dává jiné možnosti ovlivnit rozvoj obcí a měst.

Téma 2 : Společenská komunikace a plánování z pohledu vlády

Mr. Hsu, YEN-HSIN

Náměstek Stavební a plánovací agentury Ministerstva vnitra. Byl ředitelem odboru městského rozvoje města Keelung. V současné době plánuje národní architekturu a stavební regulaci.

Jak povzbudit místní komunitu. Prezentace si klade za cíl podělit se o své zkušenosti od vládní strany až po obnovu místní společnosti. Zahrnuje debatu s architektem, místní komunitou a boj místní samosprávy s ústřední vládou.

Ing. arch. Pavlína Suchá, Architekti bez hranic

Pavlína Suchá vystudovala obor Architektura a urbanismus na ČVUT v Praze, profesně se věnuje územnímu plánování. V rámci spolku Architekti bez hranic, kde aktivně působí od roku 2020, se zajímá především o téma sociálně vyloučených lokalit.

Architekti bez hranic sdružují architekty a designéry se zájmem o zlepšení kvality veřejného prostoru a zvýšení zájmu veřejnosti o témata spojená se sociálními aspekty architektury, zejména také v znevýhodněných lokalitách a ohrožených komunitách. Od roku 2021 máme možnost spolupracovat s komunitou ve vyloučené lokalitě v Chanově, kde usilujeme o zkvalitnění veřejného prostranství a zapojení místních obyvatel do jeho tvorby. Naším cílem je podpořit angažovanost místních obyvatel a vytvářet prostor pro dialog s městem.

Theme 1 Public architecture experience in small city scale.

Mr. Huang, SHENG-YUAN Architect

He rewards National Outstanding Architect and National Awards of Arts in Taiwan. He also as the curator of Venice Biennial of Taiwan Pavillion.

Public architecture experience in small city scale. The presentation will about his practice in Yilan city which is a suburban district with the agriculture and tourist industry. Architect Huang’s practice are focus on the small public architecture work. He will share his experience about the challenge of public architecture.

Marek Sivák, MArch

Marek Svitak is an architect and facilitator with extensive experience in public space, urbanism, participation, brief a concept making. He is the founder of the organization "Pěstuj prostor" and the "Platform for Public Space". He has years of experience in architectural practice too.

Looking for ways to change Plzeň and other towns and cities for the better. Activism? Grants? Contracts? Long-term partnerships? Municipal architect? In 2012, as part of Plzen - European Capital of Culture 2015, we launched the first year of the Open Call "Grow Space", in which people had been giving us ideas and proposals for small changes in public space for several years. We evaluated these ideas with representatives of the city and independent experts, and together with citizens, we tried to implement them. Now, ten years later, we are choosing a different path that provides other opportunities to influence the development of towns and cities.

Theme 2 : Society communication & planning from the government perspective: How to encourage local community

Mr. Hsu, YEN-HSIN_

Deputy of Construction and Planning Agency of Ministry of Interior

He was the Director of Department of Urban Development of Keelung city. Presently, he planning the national architecture and construction regulation.

The presentation aims to share his experience from a goverment side to local society renovation. Includes the debate with architect, local community and the fight from local governmnent with central government.

Ing. arch. Pavlína Suchá, Architekts without frontiers

Pavlína Suchá graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the Czech Technical University in Prague and is professionally focused on urban planning. She has been actively involved in Architects Without Borders since 2020 and her main interest is in the topic of socially excluded localities.

Supporting communities in disadvantaged localities and the social impact of architecture

Architects Without Borders bring together architects and designers interested in improving the quality of public space and increasing public interest in the social aspects of architecture, particularly in disadvantaged and vulnerable communities. Since 2021, we have been working with a community in the socially excluded locality of Chanov, in the city of Most. Our aim is to improve the quality of public space and involve local residents in its creation in order to encourage engagement of local residents and create a space for dialogue with the city.
